That's mainly the computer programming to save driveline components, and partially the soft suspension, and partially the fact that it IS a heavy car.
The last gen was a couple of hundred lbs lighter. but the gearing in more favorable in the new car.
You can get a dyno tune, but your best bet right now is to wait for underdrive pulleys to come out, and go ahead on the exhaust and at least a K&N filter.
The best sites are GTR Racing in (I think) Rancho Cucamonga, California, RPMoutlet.com , moranav6racing.com , and supersix motorsports. GEFracing.com generally has good prices on v6 stuff and GT takeoff gear for your v6.
For exhaust, it totally depends on the quality you're willing to pay for, but Borla and Magnaflow have v6 pipes, I don't doubt that Flowmaster has some by now, too . ..
