I am a Mustang lover shopping for my first Mustang. Unfortunately because of finances, I have to go with a 90's model V6 since I cannot afford the prices of V8's. I went and looked at a 1999 Ford Mustang today. It is a V6, 35th Anniversary Mustang with Bullitt wheels and leather seats and has 73,000 miles. The inside of the car is immaculant as is the engine. The outside of it has some small scratches and it has some paint chips from rocks on the front bumper that the owner touched up. The Kelly Blue Book value of the car is $5,700. The guy is asking $6,500 OBO. He said he would go down to $6,300. I need some advice on this. Would it be stupid to go ahead and buy this car at what he will sell it for?
KBB values are a guide, they can go up or down as people value or devalue vehicles.
It seems reasonable, but get it checked out, and see if he has all his receipts.
If he got serviced at the dealership, (They use semi-synthetic oil) I'd go for it.

Hey now. On that 99 with gears, t-lok, chip, cai, and pulleys you'll be beating most if not all stock 94-98 GT's. Maybe even slightly modded one's depending on how they drive.
