Default I got new track times

I had a bad time at the track. The first night I blow the boost tube off right in front of the MAF ( blow through MAF) and had chip tuning problems. It would not shift into 3rd at WOT. Got that fixed and went back 2 weeks later. This time I had bad traction problems. It spun a little off the line and spun the 1-2 shift so bad the car did a 45 deg. turn to the right. I had to let out of it to get it to straiten out and at 70mph the back end started to wag back and forth like a dogs tail so I just held it to the floor and white knuckled it the rest of the way. That is the first time the car getting out of shape has ever scared me.

Any way that scary ride was the fastest run she has ever put down.
This is with the bullet wheels on it. This is the first time running them on the track
Also the first time running with the 4.2L engine.

60ft 2.14
330ft 5.91
1/8th 8.91
1/8th mph 81.97
1/4 13.61
1/4 mph 106.38

very nice times, great to a sixers run em Pull that 60' time down a little and you could be around 13.4 or so.

Do you have a rear sway bar and subframe connectors?

If not, get them right away. It can definitely get scary when the frame flexes.

BTW! Nice run!!

Great times man! :thumbsup
You should keep praticing and try to get your 60ft to
about a 2.0 and you should run about a 13.4-13.5 in the 1/4 mile.
Also do you have any suspension mods?

Kscoyote. I have the stock rear sway bar in it, but no subframe connectors.

Darkness 96 GT. The only suspension mods I have are JD’s performance upper and lower control arms and KYB 4 way adjustable struts in front and KYB 8 way adjustable shocks in back. The fronts are set to the softest #1and the backs are set in the middle #4 or #5.

I really need a tire and a new intake to replace the stock one. I’m thinking of some MT drag radials.

the 6s don't get rear sway bars from the factory. If you have one, a previous owner installed it.

All 94-98 v6's had a sway bar in the rear but the 99 up do not have one.
