[Budd]

I searched all the shifter posts I could find, got some ideas but no answers.
I have a 94 v6 auto. I'm having trouble with the shifter button, seems like it stays locked, after a while you can depress it and shift.
But.......the last time it got stuck or stayed locked, it stayed that way, now I'm up the creek. Its completely inoperable now.
Could it be some type of lockout switch tied to the brakes?

The colder it is out the harder mine is to shift as well . I also seen this on a 95 vert I worked on last year . post back if you find the problem .

i had this problem also so i ripped out the locking mechanism and it is a redneck slipshifter now but the SOB never gets stuck now that's for sure
