Default Ford V8 is now a OHV and the 3.9 is an OHV supposedly the last OHV what is wrong here

First check out ford's site here: Look at the V8 engine specs... (namely the Valve configuration (SOHC or OHV)... http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mus...res/specs/#per

I thought that the new V8's are suppose to have SOHC's like the V6. I like my 2004 with its OHV engine and I love the torque and reliability you get from OHV's. But I didn't think that Ford went back to OHV being in engines, I thought the last engine to be OHV configured was the 3.9 Liter which I have a copy of. I am confused...

Older V6 Fords were pushrod motors although over head valve. The newer motors are over head cam. Every motor since the flat head V8 has been OHV.

I think it's just two different people filling in the lines of the descriptions. Nothing more or less.

ALL OHV engines are pushrods, the cam is in the block. the 4.6L is OHC either SOHC or DOHC, but the engine has been an OHC since 1996.

Someone just messed up.
