What are some bolt-ons to increase the horsepower (like CAI, exhaust, tuner, etc). |
It's a 3.8L ohv pushrod engine (the last pushrod in the stable, I think) stock hp is either 193 or 196 hp.
Most effective boltons are Rear Sway Bar (not so much for power, but control) Underdrive pulleys, DeMolet or K&N CAI, there's all kinds of exhaust, and any Ford tuner will work. There are also long tube headers from MAC available, but Shorty headers won't gain you much without a power adder. Comp Cams has 4 cams available.
If you go with a power adder, there are SC, N2O, and turbos available, there are larger MAFs, Throttle Bodies, and port and polish services for the heads and intake manifolds.
