Hey guys. I bet this has been probably been asked many times but ill shoot at it anyway.
Heres the scoop, i have an 00 Mustang 3.8 with Mac catback exhaust. It was installed like sh!t and lets just say things didnt go to well. Thing is, i love the sound and all my friends think its an 8cyl except it has no idle. Well now that warranty has expired and i need to have all new exhaust/headers, will i notice a BIG difference with all 4 cats off? I am going for long headers and having custom mandrel bent exhaust with mufflers probably from mac and some nice tips for the back. Anyone have a similar setup with no cats on? Also, can anything happen if i have no cats on the car, legally?
Also, does anyone have some sound clips, that would be awesome.

The exhaust will be coming from long headers with no cats, x-piped with either magnaflow or mac mufflers. Id like to hear any imput or feedback on this.

Also im not on any budget. I am looking to put the best equipment on as long as its under 2k with headers, and the loudest combo with the best sound.

The cats aren't a restriction, you're more likely to go too big on exhaust and lose power even WITH the cats,.

The fine varies from $1000 + around here, it's totally illegal, until it gets grandfathered, which used to be at 100,000 miles in Kansas, I don't know about other states.
