How much highway noise in 99-04 convertible?

Hello,

I'm a newbie here, and I'm thinking of getting a V6 Mustang convertible. I have read that the new 05-06 Mustang convertibles have an insulated soft top, so they are pretty quiet with the top up on the highway. I don't really want to spend enough to get an 05-06 right now, so how quiet are the 99-04 convertibles on the highway? I may have to commute about 45 minutes each way 2 or 3 times a week...

I have a 00 convertible v6. It depends on how fast your going.. I drive at like 80-90mph and i dont have any problems.. Also if you listen to music... Geta sub and youll be in heaven... lol JL Audio makes a nice stealthbox, with a 10 inch sub to go in the trunk.. anyway hope this helps..

Oh yea, why dont u test drive one to see if ur okay with it...

Ok, I bought a 2000 V6 vert. I test drove it on the highway and was surprised at how quiet it was. Thanks for your input. My last convertible was an 89 LX V8, and it was unbearably loud on the highway.

I have an '02 vert. Had it for 3 years. No problem with highway/freeway noise here.
