huh..., some1 mentioned that the 5.4 would be just as hard as a 4.6, just somewhat taller, but a k-member can help with that...
i didnt think 'bout the rear end..., ill have to ask 'round about that..., with brakes that supposedly can be alright with a straight forward no-brainer brake kit, cobra, aftermarket, whatever, not too picky here...
ive been told that the headers would need to be a custom job, i kinda doubt cobras or saleens would work out, but worth lookin into, tx
lots of exhaust stuff would also need to be redone (custom), which is ok
the subframe connectors are obvious, off-da-shelf stuff, but didnt realize it would need a tower brace, it would prob also have to be custom, which isnt a real big problem, i gotta check into that tho, tx
i know 5.0 n fast fords had a 99-04 gt fit a 5.4 under a stock hood, and thats including a custom aluminum adapter they used to retain the 4.6 intake, since they didnt want the truck one. '96 is shorter, i think?, but even if i needed a taller hood, that wouldnt be too bad..., just a cowl
I thought a rebuilt tremec 3650 would be good enough to hold up, i dont plan on using the trucks auto, supposedly it wouldnt take a whole lot to fit the
trans tho, but the 3650 isnt a certain choice, im open for ideas
Well, after askin around it seems this would go pretty high cost-wise, something to think about, but i guess i wont try this...
