Jump over to the sixers forums and do alittle reading . This question has been posted many times . And there is alot of good info there as well . The one thing I have seen alot was about head gaskets in the 94 to 97 V6`s . From what I have read , the 3.8L is to be duty rated for 200K as long as it is maintained . The sixers are easy to mod as well . I like mine . Even running it hard I still get over 21 MPG . And the insurance is CHEAP ! And will have pleanty of get and go for a new driver .
