Just oil and tires, alt. water pump.
What do you think? |
It would be cheaper to just drop in a newer 3.8L/4.2L the engines are cheap as heck, and, as you've found out, are duty rated at 200,000 miles.
you could swap in a newer low mile engine/
tranny for around $1000, brace the chassis, and have a car ready to go for another 200,000 miles with next to no payment. just change all the fluids, and have the car's structure checked out.
You could save the remaining $5,000 for a good paint job, or put in in the bank and draw interest on it for any unexpected repairs you may need -or unexpected college costs.
