You're running two power adders with the 4.2L crank?
I was planning on running a 3.8L unit and pushing the revs . . .
Looks like you've solved the rev problem -did the chamfering, etc., fix it? Or is there another crank out there now?

The new engine is not together yet but should be by the end of the month . The new set up will be with a 4.2 crank the old one was with a shot peened 3.8 crank . I would go with the 4.2 steel crank if I were you ,more HP and more Torque . No one including Matt has broken a 4.2 crank that I know of , you do hace to have the right piston rod combination though but thats no biggie . The only other problem I was face with is the valve train , finding the springs to run the high RPM I wanted but I think we finally have that solved .

I can't remember who it was, but someone went through 2 or three cranks -but he was hitting the nitrous pretty hard.
Are you running the beehive springs? with 1.7 rrs?
I was thinking of actually running 1.6s, with a slightly less racy cam, to try to keep the valvetrain under control. Figured the revability with more boost would compensate for longer stroke, and large rr ratios .. .

I was running the comp beehive I will be running a dual spring with a higher seat and over the top spring rate because I am going to be running solid lifters , the cam I am using is a comp billet cam , 232/242 .578 int. and .6125 exhaust . The R/R are the stud mounted comp rockers 1.70 .

How high are you planning to rev?
Looks like 8250?
Or are you overbuilding for reliability?
