so I talked to my friends dad on a paint job on my front bumper (urethane) and he sayd he will do it for 120 but sayd he would use paint from a spray can and clear coat it with a air compressor. I seen some work he did on a few other cars and it didnt look half bad. He sayd it would be a waste to use the paint machine just for a bumper , is that normal to use canned spray paint ? any thoughts would help because i know nothing about painting

I wouldn't . . . but red is easier to match than a lot of other colors . . .

I wouldn't let anyone touch my car with spray can paint. Take it to Napa or O'reilly's and get them to color match the paint for you. You can always use a cheaper paint and a good clear over it and it'll never be noticed.

I am with Preymer. I wouldn't with a black car go with a paint out of a can. Black is a hard color to match. I would go some place like maico before i let someone spray my car with a can. At least with Maico you would know they would do their best to match the color & they would do it at a good price if price is your issue.
