Those trump cards are all over the 5.0L and 4.6L forums.
Everyone expects a 10-20-30 year old car to run like an unbeatable track star, and the truth is when the 5.0L was king of the hill, it was an anthill.
Ferraris did 0-60 in 7-8 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 16-17 seconds.
All the superfast 5.0Ls were modded, not like the bowtie boys, but sneaky. They looked stock, or mildly warmed over, but they weren't.
We told 'em they were stock to wipe the "no replacement for displacement" smiles off their faces.
