have u seen the new BOSS 302

whadup fellas, how strong are the 97 3.8 blocks under pressure?? procharger pressure ?? I have been told that the 01 blocks are better ?? I have been tossing ideas on keeping or swapping. But before I go and drop $3-4gs in a p charger, another 2-3 on the v6 build for it to crumble before me and go to v8 later anyway......

I busted my ign, went to dealer to check $$ again tossed, $150-200 on new ign & new chip key, or gut completely sell motor trans comp, for 8 ??? W/ push button start ??? .......... yeah

I'm sure that I'm not the 1st w/ this dilemma ???????????????

Fellas (ladies too) check out the NEW 5.0 mag page 104 and see the new BAD BOY... BOSS 302....$1795 for the block.....and it is better then the previous fox (my last was a 90 25th anniv. gt 300+hp Edelbrock upper/lower performer 5.0 intakes, 30lb inj. 100amp alt, flexilight fan, 11" k&n cone filter, 68mm throttle body, bumped cam & timing, I bought Nitto drags 275 55 15 w/chrome 5spoke gts, black w/ whiteoouts and its now gone.. for 2 yrs now..I miss that car..it was fast.... Have had some really nice kills in it.. and spent planty of $$ in ticlets... One morning around 4 am and I was somewhere I wasn't supposed to be and when I left I decided I was going to clean my tires......WRONG answer... As soon I got straight I looked less then 50 yards away and a poo poo impala sitting at the exxon doing paperwork watched my reckless anticks..got me right as I was getting on the highway in Lexington,SC.. That one cost me $400..I had a woman judge who wouldn't buy my trans slipping story so she knocked off $100...Thanks alot lady .
Now I bought a 97 v6 for $200.... what to do what to do.. I mean it bobby.. what in the world to do ???

the 97 blocks are fine for the Procharger, but if you step it up beyond the Procharger to make 400+ hp, it will split down the middle.

if you want to make more than 400 hp, go with an 01+ block.

Yo' Ant, KS is right on this one. Hell of a lot cheaper than converting over to a V8

Just read about the V6 vs GT Vert in our section.
