Default Fog lights for my V6

I'm also thinking about getting fog lights for my '02 V6. Do you know anywhere I could get some cheap?

Look on ebay. Also try americanmuscle.com. I believe you would have to get the GT fogs to fit your application. Another idea would be the local big box auto parts stores like Autozone or Advance Auto. I picked mine up for around $20.00 for my car.

I got mine at Advance Auto. They were $20.00. The only problem is, that I have the Cobra bumper and Cobra R hood because I hit a deer doing 70 a couple months ago. It's in the threads below under "got myself an 8 point buck." It was ugly, but several upgrades later, and the guy who did the work was also a Mustang guy so he took good care of me. The only thing he didn't do was the fogs, so I actually had to go out and buy them even though he fixed the car, upgraded the hood and bumper, lights, and did some extra dings and niks in the paint all around the car, and ate the cost of my deductible. Could you believe it? Oh yeah, the venison was good too.....

I would say to measure up your fogs then go there to see what they have for options. In my case, the larger fogs look better, and the small ones look ricey.....

Oh yeah, I bought a different switch and put it where the coin holder is on the console. The holder pops right out and I just drilled out the center of it and cleaned it up, then put the switch in it. It looks pretty good.

yeah, or you can use one of the dead switches on the center bezel, if you have 'em.

Yep Pierce.

That's what I wanted to do with mine KS, but because of the TC and Rear defrost, it only left me one, and the switch would have cost more than the whole fogs install, so I decided against it. I probably would have if the fogs just plugged into a harness under the front grill, and in the car, but they didn't have universal wiring harnesses for all '01 Mustangs. Go figure

i never thought of using the coin holder as a switch. i used my a/c outlet thats up from my shifter, to hold my switch i was happy with it when it was finished. The metal going around the switch makes it stand out a little more.

Where is the switch when you buy the car with the fog lights ( the stock position)?

Depends on the year Pearce. From what I'm told, the fog switch for pre 99's were where I mounted mine, and 99+ were just above the shifter on the panel with the TC, and rear defrost switches.

Hey Shiner are the lights that you got from Advance Auto just like the stock lights that come with the GT? Because I'm trying to retain my car's stock appearence for shows and I need lights that at least have an original appearence. Also, do you know of anywhere that I can find the center console switch (I'd also take a whole kit, but preferably just the switch)?

Try calling the dealer or junkyard to get the switch for the console. I believe they came out on the 94-98 GT's. I really think the 99+ GT's used more of an oval design, but I can't remember. If they were round, they used light bezels that would fit into place. I know my old '01 bumper would have needed some fabricating in order to fit properly. You'll have to look at some GT pics to see.

Now as far as switches and wiring, I'm not sure if there were only 3 wires going to the fog light switch/harness on stock GT's. I would assume not for the simple fact that they always use several more wires than needed. They want you to purchase the switch, harness, and lights from the dealer in order for it to work as planned, and that would be expensive. Just look at the stock light pricing on the net. They are not cheap......

Mine are not stock, but they keep that SVT look. They could be set back more, but I don't think people would notice.

Yeah but mine have to be exactly stock for the MCA shows because they're real picky about that kind of thing.
