Question Is this 1995 Mustang Worth Fixing?

Thinking of buying a 1995 Mustang Coupe off of eBay but has a blown head gasket. Here's the description:

3.8L V6
Automatic Transmissiojn
159,610 miles
Power steering and power seats
Air Conditioning
Four brand new P205/65R15 tires installed on 10/19/2006.
New brakes installed at 136,494 miles.
New 620CCA battery and rear shocks were installed in July, 2005.
No radio, but dashboard is plug & play ready.
The drivers door and drivers rear fender each have a dent and keyed marks.
The top of the drivers front fender and top of rear spoiler have some clear coat peeling.
Both front and rear bumper covers have scuffs.
Rust free Southern car.
Owner has clear title and offered in "as is" "where is" condition.

Current bidding is $1,000 and my question is... Is this Mustang worth buying and fixing up and if so, how much is it worth as is?

I'm no v6 guru, but unless you're going to fix it to sell it for more it's really not worth it. It'll likely just blow another headgasket.

I wouldn't suggest buying it. A blown head gasket is just the start of the problems. What else is/could be wrong after you get it fixed. Can you fix it yourself or would you need to take it to a shop? Whats the KBB value of the car and how much are you willing to put into it?

I'd suggest you find one in good condition that is running with no known mechanical problems. Preferably a 1st or 2nd owner private sale. You could get one for about 2K.

Overall, it looks like a pretty good car. It also depends on your mechanical ability, and if you're planning to do it as a project vehicle or not. It would be better to swap out the motor in the long run.....

Teh chassis is probably worth that much. It's all going to depend on labor rates and your mechanical ability.

you can swap in low mileage running gear for around 1,000 dollars or less.
