Default 2004 V6 Mustang to 2004 Mach 1 Makeover question...

Ok so I did a dumb thing and bought a v6 pony a couple years ago... I just lucked out because my buddy who has a 04 mach 1 just totaled his car with rear end damage... I want to buy his mach 1 from him and do a complete makeover on the v6 using parts strait from his car is there anything I should be aware of when swapping motors and everything else on his machine to mine?

Nope -it's the same chassis. Everything will bolt on.

It'll just take forever, and you should have your torque wrench calibrated before starting.

Do you think I could do this in a week? week and a half at the most?

And another thing I'm not gonna have to get any new motor mounts or anything like that? its just gonna be a super easy swap, just very time consuming... I'm assuming your saying that because technically I'm building a Mach 1 and I was told I've got to change out a lot, steering column, brakes, etc...

Really I'm just trying to make a guideline as to what needs to happen first so I don't start trying to swap too many things at once and wind up overwhelmed with two cars that aren't running...

Any suggestions about what to start with first, second, third, etc...?

you're not going to have to change the steering column, but you will have to remove a lot of panels to swap out the computer and all the wiring and the instrument cluster and all the wiring there.

You'll have to swap out the brakes, the tranny, the rear end, the engine, the fuel pump, sway bars, etc., and you'll probably want to swap out the seats, and while your at it the rear quarter windows & panels.

A pro shop would take a couple of weeks. You're basically rebuilding the entire car.

(While you have the thing apart, though, you may want to swap to a heim joint on the steering column, just to take out the play).
