That will help you tremendously and won't be much more trouble since the tranny's being replaced anyway.

Handling? 1/4 mile street/strip machine? street machine? road race/street?
Thanks for all the help so far KS. I'm looking to turn it into an all-around performer. Mainly road race/street though.

I was looking into stroker kits from Tom Moran racing. They have a 4.2 kit that looked pretty enticing. If anyone has experience with Tom Moran products I'd appreciate a quick review.

And one other that just occured to me. I have a stage3 racing clutch that I put in about 500 miles before my tranny blew out. Can I put this clutch into the T56 or am I out of luck?

for road race street applications, you might find the six superior -it's what the chassis was designed for.

look at where teh cylinder heads are in relation to the strut towers, then look at a 4.6L.

the engine only weighs 300 lbs and is almost completely behind the axle. the entire vehicle is 400+ lbs lighter than the 4.6L cars.

and engine replacement is a LOT cheaper, and the ability to work on the car is a LOT easier with plenty of room.

Tom Morana Racing Engines has a 24 year history of building fast sixes.

Super Six Motorsports also has some excellent packages.

Yeah, I've had the pleasure of doing some work on the alternator and replacing the serpentine belt within the first couple of months of owning it. The space in the engine bay is really nice. Sounds like I'll just stick with the V6 as originally planned and put in a stroker kit eventually.

It's all going to depend on setup, but Morana's twin-boosted engines put out in excess of 600 hp, 450+- using a supercharger with another 150 hp on the juice.

I don't remember how he gets the 4.3L -whether it's by overbore or offset grind. don't do the offset grind.
