Question Strut Tower Brace for 2002 Mustang V6?

I was all ready to order my strut tower brace from, who else, rpmoutlet; and I starting to order it and those f****** tried to charge me $20.00 shipping! I can drive to thier store and back for less money than that! On thier website they advertise free shipping for "most products"! Don't order from rpmoutlet, they are backstabbing Bas*****!

Now that I got that out of the way, I am trying to find another strut tower brace. I found these on froogle are any of these good quality?

Can you just drive over there to pick up the brace?

The brace in not heavy but it is a oppy size and shape that is why that shipping is so much. Also if you got a steel one it is heavier than a chrome molly one, and more to ship. Exhaust shipping is worst than that.

Depends on whether or not you plan to use coilovers.

Re: Shipping -I charge more than that for ebay sales. The box + labor & materials and the price UPS charges for odd sized container means I break even at $25 for something like that.

Na, I'm just trying to stiffin up the frame, I've already ordered the posi-trac, sub connectors, and the rear end girdle. I want a straight line driving car that will still ride smooth, thats it.

I don't know if they still are selling Kenny Brown's stuff, but the plates are there for coilovers -if you don't plan to run them, then they're all going to be pretty good.

Steeda's are more lightweight . ..

I found this strut tower bar but it says its for the 99-04 GT.
If the v6 and GT use the same frame what difference does it make?

That one just has clearance for a FR manifold & supercharger.

So it would fit on my 6 but it doesn't have a lot of clearance?
I not sure if this means it's good or bad.

Would the 03-04 mach 1 strut tower brace fit on an 99 v6?

that brace is designed to fit around the mach1's shaker hood and induction. Probably not a fit on a 99 v6.

no it will fit just fine.

The GT engines are larger, so there is just a bend to accomodate the shaker hood.

Ideally, you'd want a straight triangle, but you can't do that with all the crap on the shaker.

Any GT/Cobra brace will fit the V6, with room to spare, unless you add a shaker hood yourself to the 6, like the CDC version -THEN you'd need the Mach brace.

but it will give you a lot more clearance.
