how much hp? you can build up to 600 hp.
What do you want?
Do you want to be able to drive it every day?
Do you have a set mpg you need to maintain?
Do you do a lot of highway driving? City driving? country roads?
you need to figure out what you want and balance it against what you need to figure out what kind of performance you gonna try to nail.

i want it to do somewhere b/t 14 and 10s everyday car i want a relatively low mpg i do highway city and country road driving
14s and 10s is a big swath of horsepower.
you can get 14s with approximately 260 hp, but to get into the 10s you're going to need 600 hp or more.
The difference is several thousand dollars.
