hey before you take off and go to the v6 part... remember that most people here will be able to help you regardless because you do have a ford... so let me give you some advice... find a shop that will fabricate a "true duel" exhaust on your 6 with a good set of mufflers and some 3.5" tips.. it will sound pretty mean dude

you might even be able to find a custom mid pipe on the web, like an x or h, if you can do that... it will sound pretty sick trust me people will be a little confused as to how many cylinders you have under your hood. my bro had a stroker 6 4.2 motor and had all that done. it sounded hellza good man. well i hope that helped

Good call Cobra...... Just make sure you do not go over a 2.5" diameter on the exhaust or you will lose backpressure/power.

It will be cheaper to get one made... just stay away from aluminized pipes... they are cheap... stick with stainless steal...

speaking of exhaust, i had a question about what the difference is between a X pipe, H pipe, and straight pipes. correct me if im wrong but i believe the X pipe leans more toward the hp band, the H leans more toward the torque band, and i have no idea what the straights lean towards. please tell me if thats right and what the straight pipes do. which one would u guys recommend. also i heard the because of our firing order we dont need an H pipe and straight duals will work fine. true?

Straight duals work fine, but whether or not a crossover makes more power is open for controversy. One for the ages.

Personally, I think it will help on the 3-4 6-1 firing, and dynos show a slight increase, but it's within variance. It's more of a sound preference than anything.

Why does everyone want loud?

Do y'all like having the police following you around all the time, waiting for a mistake?

I still don't know how the harley owners get away with it . . .

Spintechs are pretty loud, but it's gonna depend on your muffler more than anything.

Just pick up the shortest you can find.

well honestly, i have seen numerous amounts of graphs and sheets showing how an x pipe yields more power overall. they sounds better as well. trust me i have had both on my car and i didnt like the h. as far as the tone and "loud factor" goes, get a straight through muffler. like the magnapacks or the slp ones that are the similar design. it will sound good trust me. but it wont be bad enough to where you will have cops following you around everywhere. i have a v8 and i have never been pulled over for my exhaust being too loud... and trust me might s**t is loud haha. here is a clip if you want to hear it

do the x with a good set of mufflers and tips yours will sound awesome even with a 6 cyl
