Now I'm a little upset and a little POed. Here's the story: The other day, my mother and went out to get some gas and kerosene in teh next town over. We fill up and head back towards home. We go pass the lot where my parents bought their latest new car at, Eisenhauer nissan. There's a new car lot and an old/pre-owned car lot. Just dozing off, I start day dreaming about mustangs, as usual Had this little day dream about getting a older mid to late 90s v6 stang, and in the dream I went and made the car a total sleeper, all blacked out, lowered to the ground, cobra or saleen bodykit, tinted windows etc. and putting in a 5.4L with twin turbos and a 6 speed trans. in the v6. We go to pass the lot, I'm looking out the side for a second, and in the corner of my eye I see something in the very back of the lot in the corner that stands out from the rest of the cars. Out of nowhere I yell Pull a u turn, Cobra! We turn around and go into the lot and she's like yeah right in that lot. We go up through the lot and there she is. I see a late 90's silver mustang with a cobra emblem in the grille, a cobra bumper and a cobra hood. I jump out and to look, standing there staring at the beauty of this automobile (I don't care if she was dirty and had bugs all over the front, jsut told me that it must of jsut came in). Walk around the side and was like wait a minute, the bodykit doesn'y seem to "flow" right together as there was a little or no side skirt, and Cobra wheels and side emblems. Then started to think what if someone just put the cobra bumper and hood on a v6 stang? Walk around the back to first notice this ugly a** spoiler i know is not a cobra spoiler, sorta more off a eclipse but whatever I thought if I'd get her I'll take that off along with alot off other stuff too. Then the worst tint job I ever saw on the back with MAJOR air bubbles in it. Then came teh moment of truth to telling exactly waht kind of stang she was. Saw first MUSTANG on teh back bumper so it's not a cobra bumper, and to definitly tell she's a v6 I saw one exhaust. I was like aw man she's a v6 but then remembered my dream a few minutes before and was like she's perfect. The dealer was closed so went back home dreaming bout this beautiful pony.
Yesterday, both my mom and I tell my dad about the stang. We agian to go look at er so my dad can see er. Get there, dad seems pretty cool about the car (very good thing with the retired marine of 21 years in the service, and hes a bowtie fan to go with that). Look around, only thing he said was he be the car was pretty beat. Took some pics with my cell (Id load them but down know how to on here) Go back home. Still thinking about this car.
Then today, get home from work. Dad says he stopped at the dealership. He said the the "dealer said" that the car was pretty beat and that for some reason the cars makes noises for some reason and don't know where they're coming from, and that they're having tittle problems with the stang. He also said he "thought" about asking if they'd trade in my POS beater, '89 nissan pick up, with way too long of a list of things wrong with it, and if that truck is still able to drive, that Stang looks WAY better of a driver then my POS. And then what I noticed though was that he paused right before he gave the "reasons" And my parents are highly known for pulling pranks on me since I was like 3, liek saying I wasn't getting something but then sometime later on I end up with it, such as a Xmas present or soemthing. And he also had a smile on his face (again 21 years in teh marines, doesn't smile that often really). And they tried to pull alomst the same trick with my baby, my '05 stang. And now I sit here as I have that weird feeling when you think something's going to happen...What are the chances of basically "love at first sight" with this car when my 6th sense kicked in (my mustang sense baby ) when you see about a sq. foot of the front bumper of the car in the very back of the parking lot...IF anything does happen, will post about it asap. Just wanted to post about this teaser that has made me a little sad (of all cars to possible be screwed up, it would have to be the car I like/want) and now to sit here and wait to see if anything happens with this pony car...

Sounds alright man but if I were you I'd save your dough and buy a more reliable stang. I'm not tryin to be a downer bro but I just wanna lst a few reasons against this...
1. Cobra things on a V6 doesn't make sense IMO. Be proud of what you got under the hood.
2. With the problems people say they are having with the car I think your better of saving and getting a more reliable stang.
3. I've seen stuff like this before, (this is just me may be different for you) dealers selling junk on wheels to a young kid with high hopes. Happened to me when I bought my first truck/vehicle. An f-150. I fell in love with it once I FINALLY saved up enough cash I bought the truck after a was lied to about every single thing in the truck and now I may need to go to court to exchange the warranty b/c they are dodging my calls. What a headache, I wish i never got involved. What you want today might not be what you want the next.
When I went to buy my 05 stang I rushed into it and I signed all the papers for a deluxe model with cloth and less features and no spoiler no 6-cd changer. My uncle told me to wait and we went to another dealer and I bought a new stang BRAND NEW with the premium V6 package with abs, leather 6-cd changer and the spoiler. The other one had 15k miles and it was 1k more!!! They tried to rip me off!
Moral of my RANT (<---sorry lol) if your parents do decide to get it or you keep trying to convince them, just shop around...I PROMISE YOU there is a more reliable car out there for you. There are plenty of stangs out there waitin for nice guys like you to grab em bro. Just keep your options open and I PROMISE you you'll be happier. I think every time I get in my car that I'm so lucky I waited!!! Thinking of how well I made out now makes me smile . Good luck man post us an update soon!!!

It may be what you're looking for...... But the only thing that pi$$es me off is the Cobra emblem. I had the same run in with a Boss badged V6 about a year ago. Yes, I have the hood and bumper, but you will never see anything that says Cobra on my car. That is just wrong.....
You may also want to look at some of the larger HP V6 guys here. They are putting down some pretty good numbers with their cars. Nothing pi$$es guys off more than getting downed by a 6.
I don't like the idea of the cobra emblems either on that stang. Think it's just as bad as a ricer, being a "poser" or a wannabe. If I would get it. like in that dream, I'd make the car a sleeper, adding a 5.4L would be nice, and I would also strip the car of all badges, real clean look, but here's an update on that silver pony. I could not take it any more and had to find out for myself. I stopped in the dealer today and asked them all they knew about that car and they gave the exact story So either they're gonna sell her at an auction or the worst of all things, crush her (I hate saying that word, sends me a chill up my spine). Now my opinion is ok they have no use for her, sell her real cheap to me or someone else who can fix her up and make something good out of her. I rather see that car go to someone else who will atleast try to save her from going to the big corral in the sky in car heaven, atleast try to, because it's a MUSTANG, part of history. So I looked at her one last time and left sadly wondering what they're going to do with the poor car. Then i came home to my dad saying he stopped at the local store and saw my one friend's mom there and started talking to her. She said her daughter is going into either the army or the navy (forget which one exactly). After he said the word daughter a thought shot into my mind...she has a stang! And that's what he said next, that the daughter might sell her stang! That cheered me up. Now I have to wait and see about this pony. It's been almost a year since I last seen that stang atleast and what I remember is its a black '97? v6 with the white mustang side rocker stripes. I forget waht tranny she has. I hope she's a stick, I can deal with an automatic but a manual trans is so fun to drive. And I know the daughter has a light right foot so I don't believe that pony was abused. If I get this one, same idea, 5.0 or 5.4L, 6 speed, dual exhaust, drag radials, take off the mustang side stripes, drag suspension, new bodykit (she has a fornt plate and looks disgusting on a stang) etc. and someday a custom flame paintjob to help her stand out. Will post any more updates asap...

And thanks for the link A7X1031. I loved the pic of the '67 gt500e eleanor on there, she's what got me into mustangs on that movie. And yes mustang community is like a second family. From on the forums like this site to out in the world like at a car show, we all have alot in common. And I've met a lot of stangers again at car shows and such that are very friendly and are nice people who are willing to help with a lot of things. And when I cruise around in my '05 on weekends/nice days, whenever I see a stang I always give a thumbs up out the window and 9 times out of 10 the person in the other stang gives a thumbs up or waves back.

Thats a sad story to hear that car might be crushed, although, cars in a sense are like people...they eventually die and the newer ones come into the world! hehe. Well thats sounds good thay you might get that girls stang. No matter what it is, a stang is a stang. If you want my honest opinion...Instead of putting body kits and flame paint jobs on the stang you get (not for a stang but thats only my opinion) ask your parens how their credit is and maybe finance a new one. I got lucky and in Aug of 2006 the new 2007 stangs were coming out and the dealer was losing money keeping it on the lot so they practically gave it to me. After a 3k rebate and trading in my beat up f-150 I payed only 13k!!! Thats with the best package besides pony you can get for the 6. leather seats 6 cd changer and more! Luckily my mother has great credit and trusted me enough to co-sign for the lone. My insurance is high as heck though..19+new mustang+4 speeding tickets=475 a month for my insurance. If you drive responsable and your parents have good credit you can maybe get 3k from your trade in and I'm sure your dad will talk em down. Worse case scenario you get a used 05 V6 with the lesser duluxe package and you pay even less. Just throwing some options out there. Ask your parents I paty exactly $283.03 a month for mine. Not bad at all. Work out some numbers with your parents if they wana take out the time to hear you out. Ask what their credit score is and if you want go to the dealer youself tell them your parents credit score and then have them work the numbers until they tell you what you wanna hear. Run this by them and tell me what they say. Your gonna be happy if they agree man trust me.

I would love to do that but I'm pushing my limits already lol. I would LOVE to get anotehr 05, v6 or GT, but there is no way i could afford 2 of them. What I need/looking for is a cheap stang to replace my POS beater like i said before (i swear the thing i drive omg ive never seen a list that long in my life of things wrong with a car, id post pics but my camera is not workin right now and even if it did i think id be too embarrassed to put a pic of this beast up, an '89 nissan pick up). In other words somewhere around the i'll say $7k range or lower. I know this girl and the price of that v6 should be right around that area. When/if i get this v6, i'll be selling my pick up, hopefully getting atleast $2k from it. What sucks about owning 2 stangs? Having to work your a** off to pay for them but I love my stangs that much that I know it's worth it. If I hit the lottery one day though, you can bet I'll have more then 2 ponys in my corral.
