[Mustang Marla]

My 2000 V6 engine service light just came on a few days ago (82000 miles total, driven abt 20-25 miles per week). I am unable to have the vehicle checked immediately. Is there any way to reset the computer/light status until I have the opportunity to have it checked professionally? Or other suggestions?

Unplug the battery overnight, however I would suggest going to Autozone to have the CEL code scanned.

I wouldn't clear the code, just have it checked out. If you go to Autozone, don't let them clear it, just retreive the code #, post it and I can tell you what it is or give you some suggestions.

at 82000, it's probably an oxygen sensor or EGR valve . . .
