My insurance is only 135 a month .. gotta love progressive
Cheaper to mod then the V8 and can save alot of cash to make it just as fast if not faster.
Im only 22 and have no mommy or daddy to support my Car.
I love smashing civic/tiburon (pardon if i mispelled that , dont speak rice) drivers feelings Especially when they can say they got beat becuase you had a V8.
and last but not least is When i was single the girls didnt know the difference between a V6 and a V8, to them a mustang was a mustang and the back seats all seemed the same

The one thing I hate though is the V8 guys always saying "you should get a GT" when you ask about performance mods. It gets old after the 20th time.
I thought I was paying a lot for insurance!! SA has the highest rates in the state.
With GEICO, I pay $70 for full on my 6 and am in the works of saving to get an 07 GT convertible. Full on both makes me go up to $105. If I drop the 6, it's $90 for the GT alone.
Well, I got a V6 first of all because, I could not resist the color of my car. I was having some issues with my old car (95 Escort...anything is better than that car) and my brother, who is a GM at a local car dealership here asked me to come look at some cars. So, come Monday i hope in the car and ride up to the dealership. I get there, walk in the showroom and my jaw just dropped. My bro comes up to me and says "are you ready to look around?", I was like "I want that one right there!". He never figured me for a Mustang guy and my family was pretty shocked too. Anyway, I have 2 strikes against me....I have a V6 and it's automatic, so I hear sh*t from folks all of the time. I personally don't care, cause my slightly modded Mustang can spank many of these crappy rides in the town I live in. I love my car and I didn't buy it for anyone else to like...They don't pay my car note or insurance so it goes in one ear and out the other. Also, gas prices suck so I'm very happy I chose the V6 and my insurance with full coverage is like $115 a month.

How is my insurance so high? I'm 19 I live in MA...I have NO accidents ever, and I have 3 speeding tickets. Could 3 speeding tickets cause my insurance to be 475 a month? You guys are saying 130 something is a lot lol geez I wish I payed that. Can anyone figure this out? Oh and I have full coverage with metlife.

Are you serious about 3 tickets? I'm surprised you got insurance with 3 tickets at any price. If you avoid more tickets it will go down when you turn 25.
yea man tickets suck. i have 2 speeding tickets that i got when i was a minor and now im 19. my insurance went from 120 to like 275. i am put as the primary driver on my moms expedition b/c if i was on my stang it would be ridiculously expensive. when i was on my 300zx it was way cheaper. the thing that sucked the most was that when i got my 2nd ticket they suspended my license for 30 days and within those 30 days was when i bought my stang and my b-day. so that was really hard, but moral of story is DONT GET SPEEDING TICKETS.
i forgot to mention i got the 1st speeding ticket of my record cuz i went to driving school but they wouldnt let me go again for the second one because they were both within 18 months. if you go to driving school it is worth it cuz insurance goes up big time when u get points on your license.

Heh its sad b/c the cops arounds here are CRAZY about catching speeders. There hasn't been one time that I left my house in the past few months since the cops got charger SRT-8s around here that I haven't seen a car pulled over on the road. I catch them hiding EVERYWHERE and my car is obviously target #1 for the cops. I can never open up even for a minute or 2 without being paranoid, kinda killed my mustang fun. Most of the time I'm right when I feel a cop would be hiding somewhere b/c the next thing I know low and behold there is a cop lying in wait. They gotta find some way to pay for those SRT-8s. Makes me sick when I think about how the world is sometimes. Theres people shooting up schools and murders everywhere in Boston, but their main priority is pulling me over b/c I feel like opening up maybe 10-20 mph over the limit for a minute. Does anyone else feel like the police priorities are mixed up? Cuz I do.

See man thats EXACTLY what I'm talking about. There was a picture in the paper of my neighbor who is a cop in my city. It was right on the front page of the local newspaper with him sitting in his police cruiser SLEEPING!!! LOL. How embarrassing must that be since his wife is an alderman haha. Well the way I figure it, we have no control over what the police do. I myself am not a minority but I work with some and they tell me stories of their cars getting torn up and searched for no reason whatsoever. The powertrip is unbelieveable. I hate when they think they are Clint Eastwood when they pull you over and get real tough lol. Guess thats why Johnny Cash wrote the song, "I faught the law and the law won." Can't be more true than that.

I've had one speeding ticket but went to drivers safty class so it stayed off the record. It really pissed me off though cause I was just keeping up with traffic but since I was in a Camaro and the rest were trucks she nailed me for doing 60 in a 55. Damn P.M.S. anyway..lol
I feel the same way, there is so much more important **** cops could be doing instead of busting people for speeding. If somebody is going 15 over through a school zone early in the morning then he definetly needs to get busted; but like in my case I was driving home around 10:45 a.m. on a weekday and the road is completely clear so I drop it into fourth for about 5-10 seconds and get busted for 80 in a 55. That is complete and total bull****, I was not endangering anyone except myself and that was minimal, hell he even wrought on the ticket clear weather minimal traffic. You wonder what school cops go to that washes their brains of all common sense.

Man, after I got my first ticket, and my insurance was more than my car payment, I just evaded if I even THOUGHT I had a chance of getting a ticket!
Never got another ticket until I was past 25, and then when I did, the cop shows me the twin turbos on his Z28 super hi-po, and said they built the car just for me and the rest of the Ft. RIley guys.
My hood pins came out, and I was going 5mph over to get to Western Auto.
A friend of mine was going 10 over, and the cop let him go to get me.
Then he asked me where I got the car painted, what I had under the hood, etc., -I asked him if he was going to give me a ticket or if he just wanted to look at my '68. He said -Boy, Do you have any idea how long we've been trying to catch you?
I told him -6 years?
He said, That's about right, I'm gonna post this one on the bulletin board -you gonna get a ticket, all-right!
