Cool Making side scoops functional?

An idea shot into my head when I noticed that all '01 stangs atleast have side scoops behind the doors. Stands out ot me becuase I'm used to the '05 and not having scoops like that on the sides. And I thought it would be an awesome idea if I could make them functional for a rear brake duct, give the car a shelby stang touch, since I think it would be a real PITA to i guess get rid of the scoops. I've seen a few pics on cars that actually had functional side scoops. Now my ? is how difficult is it to do for an '01 stang and how much would it cost in parts (I do my own work on my cars aslong as it's not painting the parts/car, so i don't have to worry about anyone doing anything to my stang and feel good in the end because I did the work) Do they sell kits or anything to do this? Thanks in advance. I'm not a real fan of the side scoops on the '01s and thought if I can't get rid of em, i'll atleast make the best out of em and make them serve a purpose to the car.

It could be done but it would be a big job. You would have to do a lot of fabricating like making ducts and welding them in then some kind of tube to direct the air to the rotors but not get in the way of the tires or suspinsion. Anything is possible if you have the tools and the know how and the money.

Thought it would be a little difficult. And yeah if you have the money you can do anything in this world. But Anyone have any ideas on how to put the pipes on so they would go in the scoops and wouldn't hit the tires or anything else. Not exactly my favorite thing to do but would it work if I would take the interior panels off and fabricated a few pipes to go in the space between the panels and the quarter panels? and then somehow brought them through the back and go in towards the front of the wheel wells? Am I sorta right or not even close? has anyone done this to their late 90's early 2000s mustang? I know they do it in some race cars.

The main problem I can think of is getting the tubing directed to the rotors. On stock wheels the rotors are deep into the rims. I suppose if you kept the tubing small enough it could be routed to fit but being so small it wouldn't flow much air, there isn't much room between the wheel and rotor. You could have them aimed at the back side only though and that would be a lot easier but not as functional. If I was going to make a scoop functional it would be a hood scoop.
