Default just saying hi and have question about fog lights

This is my first time on this form and want to introduce myself. My name is Rich, I live in San Diego and got my first Mustang last October. It's a 2006 v-6 with 20" Foose wheels, Roush body parts, modified suspension and a K&N cold air. I'm, right now, sitting in a stereo place getting some stereo work done. Its color is torch red and I love this car! I never really cared much for Mustangs until I got one. Now, I don't understand why I didn't get one sooner. Has anyone ever tried to put GT fog lights on their v-6? The pony package is a perfect application, but I really like the bigger GT lights instead and possibly with a Shelby style grill, but I think maybe the v-6 bumper is different enough to make this not possible unless I change the bumper too. I have no idea how to wire this up, but I do want to change motor to a v-8 later anyway. For now, does anyone know if it's possible to make this work?

Unless you want to do the V8 swap just for the experience, it would be much more cost effective to just sell your 6 and buy a GT when you are ready. This will also help you avoid emissions issues, and as you live in CA, thats a biggie.

Welcome to the forums. There is a GT-type grill that you can get for your V6. An actual GT grill will not fit the V6 fascia.

Hi there, welcome to AFM. Sounds like a nice ride you have there. Do post a pic or two when you get a chance. Yes, to change to the GT foglights, you will need to change the bumper or make a custom grill. the GT foglights will not work with the Shelby GT500 grill. Anyways, good luck on your project, hope to see you around.

I want to thank everybody for their input and welcome. I've just recently decided to keep the v-6 motor because this is not the only Mustang I'm going to own. The fog lights sounds like it's going to be a bigger project than I thought, so I'm going to take my time with it. I'm getting my true dual exhaust next week. That's going to be an easier improvement than the fog lights right now. I'm going to post some pictures as soon as I can.
