a turbo will Definately decrease your mpg, or increase your gallons per mile!
i have a '95, so not too sure about latest tech...
A K&N airfilter or a CAI (coldair induction) kit, with some cat-back dual exhausts (2.5" max) should already give u some worthwhile hp as your engine allows for much better airflow than the '94-'99 generation.

About the power adders, there are other gentlemen that know alot more than i do that can help...

I do believe a supercharger requires the use of premium fuel...How much money are you looking to dump into performance mods?

Yes, thats a good point... Consult your budget and then decide what u want to do... $1,000 should get u almost everything up to before a power adder... $5,000, well thats good for most mods....

with 5k you can prolly throw a Procharger on there , or the basic modds CAI,Pulleys, new exhaust, headers, throttle body, gears and a nitrous system if you want nice speed.

Ati is the brand of the procharger and heard nothing but good things from them for that chck out RPMoutlet.com or The store on here has them all in all its about 4.5 k to throw in on your car im guesstimating.. as for the other stuff the Cold air intake i reconmend getting a plastic one Like K&N , Demolet Or this http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...?idproduct=832... for the pulleys and throttle bodies go for BBK - motoblue. Headers prolly bbk or mac .. Now for exhuast there are numerous options I like my flows 40 series i got The sound , look and gas saver is nice on it plus it added some power but there are Mac , Magna flow , Borla or cutsome h-p pipes with GT take offs (wich is the cheapest way to go. As for Nitrous i heard Zex and nitrous express work really well.. Check in to em and see what you like and go by what you want out of your mods
