Hi,

I have an '02 V6 Stang and need to replace the Cam Sync., I have the part but need the positioning tool. Online I have found part no. T96T-12200-A but the descriptions state that it is for '96 - '98 V6 Stangs. Is this the same tool for an '02?

You should try the Ford Dealer they usually have them or can get them quickly also Autozone sometimes has them in stock.

and if you can't get hold of the tool, there is a web-site that can give you a procedure that doesn't require the tool. It's given by Bob Mordorski, an IDENTIFIX Ford specialist and ASE master. http;//www.asashop.org/autoinc/may2004/techtips.htm. It doesn't take a lot of time and it doesn't require you to be a tech-school graduate.
