I recently ordered an over drive alt pulley from ASP (Lee) and paid extra for 2nd day air. Well the delivery day came and went, no pulley. I called Lee the next morning and was told, " I thought we had one but didn't so I had to make one and it was shipped out yesterday (the day I needed it by!), I guess I should have called you". I couldn't believe it. I told him it's now to late so I don't want it. He said that was OK just decline it when it shows up. So 2 days later that's what I did. It's been 3 weeks now and still ne refund!!! They don't reply to my emails and he won't take my calls! What a thief! I've had to get my bank after them for my $38.00 back. I have never delt with such an un-professional company or person in my life and will never buy from them or recommend them again. He can't even claim I didn't return it because I never accepted it.
I actually had the same type of problem with them. It was for a thermostat. They had one advertised as a 160* for my 97 V6, when I got it, it wasn't the correct t-stat. I don't know what model it was for, but definately not a 97 V6 Mustang. it was about 1 inch too long. I called and called and called, as well as sent MANY emails for a refund or exchange, but nothing. I lost about $15 in the deal and I will never do business with them again!!!!
That sucks. How do they expect to stay in business ripping off their customers like this? It only takes screwing over one customer to lose about 10 more from word of mouth. Just remember guys, when you buy an UDP made by them you are still helping a rip off company even if you buy it through another vendor.
I have a suggestion. Why don't u ask Lcurle to put a sticky on the notice board about NON- and RECOMMENDED companies. That way it can grow by experience and less people will be screwed-over...

Yeah, the lawsuits would kill the forum. I look at it this way: You gave us a "heads up" on your experience, which is cool, but now if someone decides to go through ASP, they can't come back and complain about the service. They were warned.....
Well we maybe able to get away with it, since its user posted opinions... As long as staff members dont contribute they would really have no legal grounds, sincewe can all have our own opinions...
That's a good point and we do have freedome of speach. Then if they want to sue some one they could only sue the people posting negative post. Personlly though I feel if more of us posted about things like this and it was a 'sticky' the companies would either have to change their ways or go belly up, either way we win and the rip offs lose. How about a sticky just for people to 'vent their frustions' or 'Reders picks for companies to avoid'? Then the OP is the one to name names so the forum can't be sued.
Update. My bank got my money back! I guess ASP tried to claim they never got the pully back but my bank remined them that since I never took possession (I refused delivery) of it they still owed me the money and to file a claim with UPS.
