Default I have an exhaust decision to make this week.

I know I've asked my share of exhaust questions, but the time is here. I've been given the access to a gt take off system for $80. I went to different muffler shops, etc, a few weeks ago, and I plan to look around town tommorow. I've been given two estimates for labor, one shop $150, and another 170. I can't shrug off if i want to do it anymore, it has to be done this week. Unless I just buy the system and keep it in my garage. Is it worth it? I plan on having the car a few more years, would a gt take off be worth the money?

I would say just get the exhaust. For $230.00, you could have a good system on your car.

I think I'm going to take it. It's my first mod ever to a car, so I'm a bit hesitate. The gt system only had like a 1000 miles on it too.

the GT take-off is prob one of the best exhaust systems you can get. and for $230 with installation, that is REAL good. I paid a little more to get my custom done, about $250. You'll love the sound and it will give you a little HP increase as well.

I agree. I've really liked my Cobra Take-offs. Louder than stock, but it's never had quite as much rasp as a lot of the other aftermarket exhaust setups seem to have.

Call as many places as you can first. I called many -- even the same nation-wide chain shop and they all had different prices. Finally found a place for less than a hundred bucks to put on my mufflers and fabricate the pipes.

It's less than an hour of labor (around $40), so $150 is a bit far-fetched in my opinion.

I'd love to get my hands on the Cobra Titanium exhaust from an R - I'd have to install reducers - but Ti is the only way to go!

(If you can afford it!) saves a ton of weight!
