Well, I am nearly there. I bought my 94 3.8L Conv. last Oct. and I finally got her on the road. I had to put new heads (shaved) on and tweak her out a bit, but she is finally running. I modified the fan to run as soon as the key hits accessory (freakin Texas heat killz), and the exhaust has also been modified to a true duel. I sanded the entire car, shot it with a anti-rust undercoating, and then covered her in flat primer black. I swear, it is like the Death Proof car, only a Ford...and a V6, and no roll cage....alright...it's nothing like that car except for the color. Anyway, she is paid for and running. Now about that leaking top.......

I never had any cooling problems with my 97 in San Antonio. I replaced the electric fan motor once, the stock one finally gave out after 10 years.

If the top needs to be replaced, I believe 50resto has one for around $350.00 or so. Did you do anything to the upper/lower intakes?
