I have 3 weeks with my brand new 2007 V6 and I find it a little noisy. Sometimes I hear a noise like a can or something loose in the trunk, but the noise is not always there.
Ok, I know I can be a little picky about strange sounds in my car but I think this is not normal and it´s pretty obvious.
I thought it might be the cover of the interior light in the trunk that was a little loose but that was not it. I´ve taken everything out of the trunk (spare wheel, tools, etc) but it doesn't go away.
Any suggestions? Has anyone deal with the same problem?
I know exactly how you feel, I took everything out of my trunk, and I may still have a loose tool back there.
but I only hear it when I brake, not all the time though, No idea what it is.
something probably fell between the 1/4 panel and the trunk. Next the turn signals, there is a lille bit of empty space. I can barely fit my hand in there. I found a bolt in there that was bothering the hell outta me.
yeah seriously, that has to be it, like you know that sound, it's not a sound a car makes, but that's where I was thinking it was or something in the crack behind the seat.
My car tends to make noises like that too. The can noise is a good discription of it too. It has me baffled, because it's always hit and miss and I can't figure out what it would be.

I have the same problem. it's also in the front when I'm in 1st gear and changing to 2nd gear. I just came from a 92 Jeep so not like i'm not used to rattling, but...
I don't know if this is it but....when I first got my dual Flowmasters installed, the "can" sound was something I heard for a few weeks too...like the exhaust has to settle in or get broken in or something. Maybe since your car was brand spankin new, nothing on it has been broken in yet and that could be it. Just my $.02 =)
