Okay, I've had my car for a while now and i've solved all the problems I could find with it, all but one: my mustang has terrible headlights. I've compared them with my friends, and many of their low beams are more powerful than my high beams. Has anyone else had this problem and should I start looking for replacement lamps or just new bulbs?
No they're just incredibly weak, the headlights aren't cloudy at all
Newer cars run HID's. You can upgrade to them, but it's not cheap

a cell may have gone bad on your battery or alternator - just have it checked out.
Could be that your lights aren't aligned, too. But compared to Jasmine's Volvo with the HID, mine are nowhere near as bright.
But compared to my 68, my lights are flamethrowers. It's all in what you're used to, I suppose.

I dunno mine are factory and they kinda suck. I was surprised how weak they actually are compared to other cars I've been in. Thats my only complaint with my 05.

Sorry for the double post but what about those sylvania light bulb replacements they sell at autozone? The guy told me they are awful b/c if water or moisture gets in them they don't work. Is there any truth to this? The set is only 30 bucks and it claims to be much better light.

you might also want to try different bulbs. It can get pricey though, if you go through several different ones.
If you separate the blister from the cardboard without tearing up the packaging, you can return them.

Seriously, the ones on my '03 are horrible to the point of dangerous on our country roads. I upgraded to Sylvania Silver bulbs but I don't notice a difference. The brights are even worse. I don't want the expense of HID since I'm saving for dual exhaust but I gotta be able to see!
I don't if this can apply to anybody else but one of my head lights lost power to the cenector the other day so I found the fuse and was dirty and some what burnt so I cleaned it put back in and it worked perfect. So you might want try that
