it all depends on wat you are gonna do with your stang.
are you gonna race it?
or do u just want a lot of bang for buck?
I think he is just referring to how much possible could be added regardless of price. I personally don't know you can stroke the engine to a 4.2 and upgrade the cams and throw a supercharger on it to make huge gains. The biggest v6 mustang hp I have seen is around 450 hp. Has anybody seen more than that?

Mods currently either sitting at home being shipped: Fully ported and polished Heads and intake, 218/224 cam, 4.10 gears with detroit locker, HID kit and Zex kit
1996 mustang 3.8L with all racing parts from the sixmotors store with supercharger in it,you think i will be above 350hp.i think it will be good for 3.8L,if it more than 400 thats cool.
I'm not sure how much your year varies from the 99-04's but an HO Intercooled Tuner Kit (11 psi) on one of those will produce 345 HP, and i read that a 1999 automatic ran 13.38 ET @ 105 mph stock with the exception of flowmaster exhaust 3.73 gear and drag radials tuned for 91 octane. So im pretty sure that you'd be able to put up the numbers you want with the mods you mentioned
a fully race-prepped 4.3L V6 will get you 600+hp
4.2L will get you around 500+hp
and a 3.8L will probably net you 400+hp give or take. This is information from both Tom Morana and Supersix.

Not necessarily. Matt at Delk Performance is in the 9's with his '95 Turbo. GT EATERS car will be around 700hp when finished with the huge turbo, and Matt is working up his even more. He should be at the NMRA's in October at Beech Bend. All figures listed on their sites are conservative. All motors are different. I know Tom Y will build you a motor, but he tends to be conservative unless you direct him otherwise.

yeah, those are just general numbers. Of course it completely depends on your application but I've never heard of a 3.8L V6 going more than 700 HP. Maybe I just need to get around more. I've emailed Tom (or SuperSix) about 2 weeks ago telling him about my goals but he hasn't gotten back yet. I also emailed him during the SC install and he was very helpful. He got back to me within a few days.

Tom is still in the middle of race season. He's busy all over. If you don't hear from him soon, call him back. Tell him the Shine's sent you.....

HAI,
I just need to know what is the maximum horsepower can you get from the v6 3.8L mustang?
depending on how much money you wana spend you can go anywhere from 200 to 300 good old horses with out going over 5 grand , thats what route most normal folks go. but if your die hard , lead foot , wana be on pinks the show - gear head kinda person (wich most people find out is way to exspensive after a while and give up) you can put tons of money into a 3.8 and go well above 300 , 400 hp ... Ive seen twin turbo'd v6's with upto 860 hp and there smoking zo6's , supra's and even skyline gtr's..

GT's car is in transition right now from a sc to turbo swap at Delk. He was running 25psi at one point. I told him we(Tom Jr and I) could break the motor in for him at 10psi on the turbo......
