Well i wrecked my mustang into a tree the first of this month. it was very minor but the airbags deployed (i hit the tree at 10 mph, sand is killer! it was my fault). i took it to a local shop who specializes in mustangs and the owner quoted me, off the top of his head 2400 for just parts and such (bags, sensors, SEATBELTS??, ect...)i just want to know if this is a crazy amount or is this reasonable. i got a violation also (entering a corner at an unsafe speed) because i supposedly cause over 4000 damage to my car. if anyone has any idea what bags should cost and such things i would greatly appreciate your advice and answers!

You can buy an airbag delete kit too. They're pretty cheap compared to buying new bags.

Yeah, you need the bags, sensors, and seat belts. There is a mechanism(like a shotgun shell) which triggers and locks up your seatbelts in an accident.

My buddy is removing his, but he has a 95.

Airbags Air Bags OEM Air Bags Automotive Airbag Suspension Systems at Five Star Airbags I got a set for about 600.00 for both sides. Also found that when the airbags deploy they generally trip the airbag module. Same place and either $125.00 for a used one or $100.00 to reset your current one. Same issue here but the tree ws an ambulance in my case... Or at least my kids case anyway.
