If you cant get a ported lower intake for just $40 more go for it.
The lower intake is where most of the restriction is and you want to port the upper later it is cheaper and easier to swap out.

Not to mention what he gave you was probably an estimate granted nothing goes wrong and nothing else is needed, so it might end up costing you even more than that. Since there both used, I'd definetely go with the ported and polished: It's like gettin a port and polish job for $40! madness

260 dollars to remount your fuel rails? I guess he was wanting to rape you?

Do it yourself. It's not hard.

Didn't you get those intakes P&P'd when you did the split port swap? Either way, I would get your current intake fixed. Take it off and take it to a machine shop if you're not sure how to do it.

well i tried to but there werent any shops around here that could do it.. so i didnt cuz i needed my car.. but yea.. i got him to move the price down to 250 shipped which isnt bad for a p&p lower intake that only has a couple thousand miles on it oh and he got it from ssm also.. he got it back in jan i think he said.. but yea its in good shape n im plannin on just buyin the upper now but im not sure what to get.. i was lookin at the ssm upper intake but could someone tell me the difference between the reagular p&p intake or the p&p intake with
Internal modifications to improve distribution, requires cutting and welding:
$200? and i was lookin for a shop around here to do it but nada yet.. so thats the main reason im decidin to do this.. and when i get the upper im gonna check around a little farther away from me around texas and get someone to fix the lower n sell them as a set.. and also sell my upper and lower intakes and heads and coil pack n stuff i took off of the single port that are just sittin there.. everything is in good condition i just needa clean it all up
