So I'm looking into what I can do with my engine. It seems like I can swap it with a v8 4.6 or 5.0L. But for that I'm going to need a new cluster, exhaust, wiring harness, maybe a new rear end and whatever else I missed. I want to overhaul the engine for the fact that it's almost at 150k miles. But is it worth it to rebuild my engine and beef it up with performance parts, new gears, underdrive pullys, exhaust system and a CAI, or should I swap it? I'm also putting insurance and fuel efficiency into the picture because although I can afford the things needed to be done, I'm emptying my money into the car and hoping to get the best out of it without killing myself with insurance and gas
stick with your sixxer, the 4.6/5.0 swap into a v6 is a PITA as well as it can burn a hole in your pocket. For the amount of money it would take to swap a v8 in their, you could have yourself a heavily modified v6 getting plenty of power, saving on insurance, and giving you relatively reasonable gas mileage.
If you're seriously considering a 4.6 or 5.0 instead of your 3.8, I'd guess that it would be cheaper to buy an older gt with less milage than swapping.

I cant figure out which block is for my year. It seems like they're only talking about the FOX body stangs which go up to 93 and the late EFI models, and the 99-04 models. Are they just saying it's easy to swap the engine they give you in these models, and I could put one in my 95, or do the engines only work on those models?
Yes, the longblocks come with the rotating assembly as MW stated above. You would need your current intake along with your accessories. You would also need to keep your motor mounts and get a dynotune after the install. At that point, you should get your intakes ported and polished or buying a motor from him would be useless because your upper/lower intakes will still restrict the flow of your heads, so hp increase will be minimal. It can get to be a never ending spiral as soon as you tear into a motor for modification. All the parts are made to work together, even in a stock motor, so when you change one thing, the other parts need to be altered for best results.
