Default Adding duel exhaust to a 1996 3.8 Mustang

Hey, im new to the forums, I got my mustang about 10 months ago or so. It is a 1996 V6 3.8... I was wondering if there might be any conversion kits you could buy that could change your car from single exhaust too duel exhaust for a deeper sound, sorta like what the GT's muffler sounds like.

no conversion kits but a muffler shop should be able to do it for you.

just make sure they have the machine that bends the pipes so you're not getting ripped with the premiums from a muffler shop that buys its parts off another muffler shop or company.

Mufflers are your choice but, I recommend the setup that I have.

True duals with Pypes Violators mufflers
Garages > Schumi23's 1998 Ford Mustang - FQuick.com

If you're looking for mufflers relatively cheap, go to eBay, they usually have some great deals on them.

Recently I saw Brenspeed selling the mufflers I have for $110. (I got mine for $50 though brand new).

Let me know if you have any more questions, and welcome to AFM by the way!

or you can buy just the mufflers you want off of eBay (usually around $100) take them to a shop and they'll fabricate pipes for you for about $200 at a good shop.

$300 total isn't too shabby for a true dual setup anything higher than $400 is too much.

just make sure you get rid of the Y pipe... you will need a H, X or straight... if not you will not gain any HP....
