My engine light came on and I took it to a garage they said i need a new O2 censor and itd be 200. Is that to much? Just wondering because i've had bad experiences with garages.

you can get one at advance auto parts for about 50 bucks.

i am sure that they are not all bad.there should be 2 upstrems sensors and 2 downstream sensors.a scanner will tell which is bad.

Your OBDII and it will tell you which sensor is out of range causing the fault. $50 and 20 minutes to install. So how do you want to spend your Christmas Money?

what can i buy to test it? And i think its time for me to buy a book so i can find these kinds of things.Oh and what is a good brand of o2 censors?

Do Not buy them at a parts store...get oem from a Ford dealer and if you can't get them for a good price, lmk and I'll try and help you-out......aftermarket electronics DO NOT perform like the genuine Ford ones, trust me.

you can get it checked for free at any advance or autozone,bosch is a good sensor.i have had no trouble with them .
