What's your goal? for cheap & easy, pick up an intake manifold spacer to increase volume in the plenum . .

what exactly does the intake manifold spacer do? does it add hp? and i guess my goal is to just make my car faster but i don't have tons of money so no supercharger or anything real expensive.

7hp/7tq to 9hp/tq depending on the width of the spacer.

The limiting factor on the 3.8 is intake. It adds volume and lengthens the runners for better breathing.

Flex, Jamie(?), and Silverstang all had independent dynoslips to prove it. Flex used to make them, here.

It's another old school rodding trick. It will work on just about ANY IC engine.

If the spacer is only 1/4" you're not going to get much (because the volume isn't that much more.

going with a new throttle body, will give you a lot more horsepower for your buck. The spacer that you want should be at least an inch thick

replacing the throttle body is useless unless you are running boost or spray.

I work with a lot of techs and they say that underdrive pullies are bad for your motor! Because they are not perfectly balanced.
Also about the TB spacer my friend has a 1 inch spacer, it does the trick.
Throttle bodies do add+ horsepower when combined with CAI unit. Trust me on that one.
