Default 1995 Mustang V6 vs 1996 Camaro V6

I've always had it in my head that Mustangs were the faster car, but Camaros were a better handling car.

I have a 1995 V6 Mustang 5spd, short throw, cold air intake, and true dual magnaflow exhaust. A guy I know brags his Camaro up, and I know that it isn't all he says it is. It's a 1996 3.8L V6 auto, no mods.

Is my theory in the first sentence generally correct?

That's what I've heard too, but I haven't lined up against a V6 yet. I'm usually pi$$ing off the 8's.

You shouldn't have any problem with him (just remember, EVERYONE says they have no mods - If you ever believe it (even with a visual inspection) I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you in New York).

Whups! You have a pre-99!

Nevermind - he's got 50 hp on you!

hold on guys the v6 camero isnt that fast, my best friend drives one. i dont care for chevy that much. but i do like the fact that he has a hydrolic clutch. but man, i try to make him think hes gonna win but as soon as the 3.9 loose i kick his azz. this camero is a 2000, and he aint got but an intake/exhaust.
No biggy man i dont know how fast ur car is but u should smoke him. ford is First On Race Day.

Yes but your forgetting that you have a 04 and he has a 95...you have a split port and are 193 at the crank stock and he has a single port and is pushing I believe only 150...I don't think he will win this one..

i have a 95 and raced a 98 v6 camaro, both were completely stock and i didn't have a chance, we took off at about the same pace but he got me in the long run, sorry, but you need the split port to beat him.
