If you want to put down that kind of power you are definetly going to need to strengthen the frame. You'll need sub-frame connectors and strut tower brace for sure, and you should probably look into springs, shocks, and struts.
Even with an auburn posi-trac the 7.5" can't hold up to that power, you would need to go to a 8.8" rear end. You will also need a built tranny.
Oh, and with those mods it wouldn't be a 400 bhp motor it would be a 400+ RWhp motor.

You might want to do forged internals.

Unless hes going to the track on slicks/dr's he should be fine
nice dude looks like you got your plans in order.. wish i did i keep switchin up between motor, suspension and chassis.. and now my 5 speed swap.. but if you plan on going 4.2 stroked i say go with a 4.2 kit from ssm just so you can get the forged internals too, to prepare for your procharger

9 times out of 10 he should be fine but I am not one to take a gamble. Spend the extra $ and make it bullet proof so you don't have to worry about it.
im with tex.. its better you throw that 8.8 in there instead of wasting the money for gears and t-loc on a 7.5 that will snap with the power you will be putting down

7.5+frpp gears+detroit tru trac < 400+ RWhp < 8.8+frpp gears+detroit tru trac
Don't start with me, I am a math major!
I'll start with you, pick a track lets run em for pinks
Anyway, 8.8+gears+trutrac = $$$. If you do all that you might as well get 31spline axles to go with it.
And I honestly don't see him getting over 400rwhp....

GT-Eater has a non stroked 3.8, built motor running 11 psi w/ 50 shot that puts down in the 450 range.
I agree the 8.8 is expensive and would be better if he could stay with the 7.5 but it just cant handle that much power even when built.
