more than likely iffen the engine hasnt been turned over for that long, there's gonna be some sticky valves and the rings could be seized on the pistons. i would suggest draining a qt. of oil from crank, get 2 oil filters, change the oil filter, add a qt of seafoam to crank and gas tank. when you get it started, dont rev it. that could easily snap a piston ring if one is seized. let the motor do and seafoam do the work. i had a '73 chevelle that sat outside for a very long time. i didnt know about seafoam and put 2 qts. of
tranny fluid in the crank, after draing 2 qts. took a bit to get it started, smoked like crazy and spitted and sputtered for about 20 minutes. the smoke started clearing andthe engine started runnin smother, so i slowly worked up the r.p.m's. i drove it home, not breaking any speed records, pulled the motor to drop in a regal, drained the oil, changed the filter again. got 50,000 miles on the car b4 sellin it. the only thing i did extra was rebuild the carb as it was severley gummed and ed and parts were rotted.
