sounds interesting. would it be a good idea to change out the oil filter again (edit* like after another 100 miles?) after its changed out during the oil change to catch anything that may still be in there? dunno if that make sense, but basically like changing oil on an old car that hasn't been started for a while is what i mean.

sounds like i wasn't the only one checkin on that AM CAI lol. they just called today saying they had it in stock, told em i ordered it last week but thanks

Thumbs up

if you unscrew your oil filter... wont all your oil come flowing out?... im not sure but if you changed your oil the old filter should have all the seafoam remnants in it... id think it would be okay just check your oil and make sure the pressure is okay
yea my cai gets here tomorrow im so excited

i got my cai in! looks cool, sounds cool, and i can feel some power difference. one of my metal pieces was bent though! that kinda pissed me off cuz when i pay 75 bucks for something and i wait and wait for it to get here, i expect it to be perfect lol but i bent it a little and it all seems to be fine.

seafoamed today. i almost cried, all that smoke, i felt like i was murdering my car in her sleep.

it looked like a house fire, but with white smoke. it would seem as though, at least right now, like i'm getting noticeably better gas mileage.

on a side note i've never seen dirtier oil come outta my car.

yea... the oil is nasty cause it loosens up the carbon in your engine... im changing mine at 2500 miles because i like my oil clean ... but yea it just cleans the engine out...

Sorry to bring up an month old post but i was wondering can you change your oil to quickly. I seafoamed my car. I waited until all the white smoke stopped and then drove around the block. I came home and changed my oil. Is that too fast? And also I have a 1999 and switched it to full synthetic when i did the change, could this cause oil leaks? I dont think the old owner ran synthetic. THX!!

With regards to the 1st q, I really don't think it matters so much. Running old oil is never good.

With regards the second, synthetic will expose leaks that were blocked by crud.

You already had the leak, and synthetics will clean out the crud that kept it from leaking.

holy **** seafoam works great.. i have a 99 v6 with less than 100, 000 KM. smoked up pretty good. put it in gas/oil/ brake booster/ couldnt find where to put it in through throttle body . ran it untill it stopped smoking then got oil change.
the car had an extremely big rough idle even after i changed spark plugs. and now its Smooth. rough idle completely gone.

I don't know if it's true, but i heard seafoam can eventually make some gaskets go bad. Like i said, i just heard from a friend about that.
