Ok, I just got black vinyl mustang rear bumper insert stickers and black vinyl rocker stripes and I was wondering if anyone has installed these before or knows anything about installing them?
I haven't done this before, but I've seen it done. Some people snap a chalkline on the side of the car, others have eyeballed it. Whatever you do, make sure the surface is super clean. Want me to paint it on for you? I could bring the airbrush.....

Thanks for offering but I really don't want any flaming whales
I am mostly worried about how bad air bubbles are. The bumper stickers sound easy but the rocker stripes could be a problem.

I was always told to clean the area, and spray a soapy solution on the area you wish to apply the stripe, that way you can maneuver and find the right spot and just squeegee the water out and let dry.

The rear bumper inserts are incredibly easy to do, the rocker stripes might take more time. I also recommend doing it in sunlight so it actually dries (yeah, I ran out of time last time I was doing it and had to wait til noon to finish the next day.) If you have a good squeegee, you will have no problem getting the air bubbles out of the rocker stripes. I say put on the rear bumper inserts first so you can get a feel for how everything goes on.
PS: Be careful peeling off the S and G on the bumper inserts since they are incredibly thin on the middle of the S and G.

Thanks for the help man, I'll start working on it and see how things go.

I've heard that it's possible to remove them if for some reason I end up hating them. Is it possible to remove them with a hair dryer, or some other heat source? Somebody mentioned that it should be done so the sun can dry them faster. So is it a bad idea to do it now in the winter? (about 30 degrees out), or on an occasional mild day (40's)

Yeah, im doing just about the same thing. I got some black bumper incerts and two 36ft white vinyls for stripes. Im going to wing it and do it today, plan on going from front bumper all the way to the back, then laying in the stickers over the vinyl in the bumper. I'll post pics when im done! Hope it looks good.
I am hoping to avoid spending the extra cash, but how much did it cost you for them to do that?
They put the rocker stripes on for around $100 if I remember right...they did a nice job, haven't had any problems with peeling or chipping....hope everything works out well, post some pics after you get them installed!

I wouldn't be worried. I'm so close to finishing mine. All I have to do is the front bumper. (full body racing stripes) I'm sure you could do the rockers pretty easy. I'd measure it up however high you want it from the ground, lay some masking tape down. Remeasure, and attack it with confidence.
Well I got all set to do it and then I started having one little thing come up, then another, then another
Hopefully I can buy some time and at least get the bumper increts done so I can see if I wanna do the stripes myself or not. The masking tape idea sounds like a winner, I'll keep it in mind when I start.
