I'm about to go with my off road h-pipes (2.5") from Mac, and I need suggestions for FlowMaster mufflers.
Has anyone had any experience with the American Thunder Original 40 Series?
Or, does anyone have any suggestions on FlowMaster mufflers.
I'm trying to get a deep, yet high muscle sound.
Thanks.
I have those mufflers. At low RPMs it sounds like a v8 (almost) between 1500-2100 it sounds like rice (Bad) and when you get on it, it sounds nice...

I am looking at purchasing MRT Aero Turbine mufflers and they have a good muscular sound at low rpm's and a good one at higher. You must remember on cold starts and until you break them in, mufflers will crack and pop and make a little rice a roney sound but it will even out.
Here is the clip of the aero turbine, its only singles but you can get a good idea of a dual sound.

i have flow master 40's, but they dont sound ricey at all, because(drum roll) i have an h-pipe, so i think that takes away some of the ricey sound between 1500-2000
i have o/r h pipes with l/t headers all from mac its un catted and is loud as hell man loud as hell i was in the same boat it sounds good all around but its almost too loud when u floor it at 4000-5000 its uncatted and i have mac mufflers and tips it sounds good man

you might want to rethink your decision on offroad. You will lose major backpressure on our v6's which results in loss of HP. research it , just because high flow is high flow , sometimes thats bad. unless you have a blower , your loosing major hp and torque.

You have a point there.
What can you give me as an advice? I haven't done anything yet to my exhaust now that I'm working on my JMod, 4:10s, and Tlok.
A little help por favor?
