ok so i was wondering what exhaust system would give my v6 3.8 mustang the best sound. i dont want anything that sounds like a ricer i want? loud muscle sound all around. i only have about 450 to spend is that to little? should i save up more? you guys help with my cold air questions now can you help with this question?
your gonna have some wangy sound no matter what you use,at different rpm's.good choices are the Flowmaster 40,Magnaflow,and others may suggest more.a set of big tips,3.5,4 in. will deepen the sound also.A x or h will also help.

should not cost any more than that. Maybe even less, like around 415 to do a custom dual setup with and H pipe and flowmaster 40s, and large tailpipes.
I have the (2.25 in) flowmaster original 40s, H pipe, and large tail pipes and it sounds nice.

If you ran longtubes and no midpipe I wouldn't think you could pass emissions... But it does sound good

i have the flowmaster 40's with two straight pipes, it is loud and has a great deep tone to it, i paid 370 for my install, i got it done at a mom and pop shop instead of like carx or meinieke.
i have long tube headers two cats on each side 4 total and 3 in stainless pipe goin out the side and it sounds deep and loud its the closest to a v-8 that u can do mufflers will quiet ur ride the 4 cats makes it a very nice soundin car
Cold idle is loud as hell... about 97dB... which kinda sucks for everyone else when I leave for work at 4:30 AM...
