Stock 4V modular heads will easily outflow the 2V heads no matter how much work you do to the 2V heads. Going oldschool on one of these motors is not the way to do it.

Swapping to 4V heads is a whole new can of worms. This will definitely take your project over the edge of the abyss, especially since you already have donor cars and parts bought. The 5.4L also uses a different flywheel bolt pattern than the 4.6L engine so you will need to find the right flywheel if you are gonna use a different tranny that came with the 5.4L motor you have. Also, exhaust is different. Clearance is very tight. If you plan on putting a hood on your car then you cannot use a truck intake manifold. The 4.6L and 5.4L do not share many parts at all. What I should say is that you can bolt many parts between them, but there are still differences that hurt making them work together. THe list goes on. Google it up and you'll find a few talking about it and most never get them to run right.

Most truck 5.4L engines are 3V motors and these engines use timing chains, not belts.

No.... You did nothing except maybe made your interior look like ****.

Why are you asking him to take pictures if you could not take pictures of your invisible turbo setup? Just curious...

You never know what you are talking about, so why do you talk?

why do you have to be a jerk? i'd say way worse names but i'm sick of getting infractions. obviously you dont care if you do.

you havent seen my interior so dont judge it.

maybe i dont wanna take pics because you are being an idiot about all this and i just like to torment you.

and i was talking about the 4v out of the escalade....(sp?) its the same 5.4 motor. whether its out of a suv or a truck.

dude, if u ask me yall just got a little out of control with the subject...if u go on other forums (granted, i dont like to but sometimes necessary) u can find a lot of ppl whom have done the swap and are very happy about it... i want to do it just to be unique nothing more nothing less... ya know? just relax if i get the motor in, ill see if it works, if it dont go in and work ill rip it out and put in a 302 or 351 injected, if that dont work ill rip it out and put in something carbureted its really not that big of a deal relax seriously its just an idea and a possiblility in certain scenarios....i happen to be gifted with a really smart dad and tons of free parts just sittin around AND a donor car... so really relax, worst case scenario ill just put a nasty 4.6 in just like anybody else and be done with it but i would rather have the 5.4 just to be able to say i did the work...if this thread is gonna turn into ppl arguing and fighting then i really dont wanna contribute to it no more but i have seen pictures of 5.4s in SN95 cars... its possible so i want one too plz guys stop fightin over some crazy kid who thinks he can stuff a 5.4 into an SN95 for under 5k... theres a specific intake made for this swap from a 4.6 to a 5.4 2v all the way i dont need a wheelie car i just want a 5.4 cuz i like em...so seriously relax and let me worry about the swap and everything will be fine i will take pics when im done...somethings will be hacked somethings wont it just depends on patience and budget at the time...
