What the heck are you guys talking about?

The 94-98's came with a single port, and the 99+'s had split ports. It has to do with the intake manifolds......

A light blower application? Not quite a turbo or supercharger? You guys crack me up.

here ya go

but the difference between single and split port

single ports have 6 runners, 1 for each cylinderm and it stays like that

split ports have 12, 2 for each cylinder, a longer on for low spead(makes tq), and a smaller one for high speed that oppens up later(makes more hp)

hope this also gives u guys a good idea on how they work

like I said in my first post, do a google search. go to "howstuffworks.com" and find out how a turbo, supercharger or even your engine works. I'm not trying to say anyone is dumb or anything, but from reading this post so far, it sounds like no one (other then Shiner of course) has any idea what they're talking about. Granted, I have TONS of stuff to learn myself but it never hurts to do research on your own and then get opinions from others as you can never truly trust anyone's response as the true thing. Get an idea first, and then compare with what other people have to say. It'll take some time but you'll get it sooner or later.

Hahahahahaha...'nough said. I'll be back though.

But yeah, research your thoughts/ideas first then get the opinions. So many people here have so much input, that you're going to be stuck trying to figure out whe you really want. And it's YOUR car.

When I came into town, I had no clue about anything...but I asked. There were so many people giving their two cents left and right, that I was left stranded on an island that I knew about.

Baby-steps young grasshopper. I'm still learning, some of our experienced enthusiasts are still learning. And I bet they're doing their share of research before they start something.
